Jim began his career as a Social Worker with the NJ Division of Youth and Family Services in Camden, NJ. Since then he has worked in an array of counseling venues including prior to relocating, many years in private practice, working with children and families in a school setting, on-line global cancer support service and work with Vietnam veterans and active duty troops of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
After working as a School Psychologist for 14 years, Dr. Costa began a private practice that included children, adolescents and adults. Treatment includes issues related to autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, women’s issues and life transitions.
Dr. Costa also has experience in psycho diagnostic evaluations including cognitive, functonal and autism evaluations. She is currently the Director of the Counseling and Psychological Services office at Stockton University.
